Back in Stock Feature: How to Use

The Back in Stock feature helps you retain interested customers and recover lost sales by notifying shoppers when an out-of-stock product becomes available again.

Simply toggle the feature ON 🙌 and choose how it appears on your store—either as a Notify Me form or a Coming Soon button.

Customers can subscribe by entering their email address, and once the product is back in stock, an automatic email notification is sent to them based on your configuration.


This guide explains how to enable the feature, display it on product or collection pages, configure notifications, and customize the Notify Me form or Coming Soon button using the available options.

Steps:-


  1. Enable the Feature: Shopify Admin → Apps → Coming Soon Products → Turn ON “Back in Stock” → Click “Configure”





  1. Step 2: Configure the Notify Me Form

In this step, you can first choose what customers will see on the product page — either the “Coming Soon” button or the “Notify Me” form.

After selecting one of the options, you can distinguish and customize both separately, including:

  • Showing it on the product page or collection page
  • Choosing the display style (popup or inline)
  • Customizing the label text, colors, and hover effects

This helps you control how out-of-stock products are displayed and how customers interact with them



  1. Frontend : Customers can subscribe to an **out-of-stock product directly from the product page.






  1. Email Notification: Once subscribed, customers will automatically receive an email notification for the products they have subscribed.





  1. View Subscriber Details: Click on the Coming Soon App in your dashboard ➔ Subscriber Section ➔ View all subscriber details including product subscribed, email, and subscription date ➔ This helps you manage your subscriber list and track which customers are interested in which products.






  1. Update Product Quantity in Shopify Backend: Go to your Shopify Admin DashboardProducts ➔ Select the out-of-stock product ➔ Update the inventory quantity to reflect the available stock ➔ Once updated, the Back in Stock notifications will be automatically sent to subscribers.



  1. Automatic Emails to Subscribers: As soon as you update the stock in Shopify, the app will automatically send emails to all subscribers who signed up for that product.


  1. Automatic Subscriber List Update: As soon as the stock is updated in Shopify ➔ Automatically updates the subscriber list to reflect which customers have been notified ➔ Ensures your subscribers are kept up-to-date and helps you manage your list efficiently.



Additional Notes

  • Ensure your store email settings are properly configured and the email is verified to send notifications successfully.
  • You can manage or export subscriber details from the Subscriber Section in the app.
