Product Rules decide which products use which Prescription Flows, helping you control which prescription options customers see on specific products.

Setup Steps (Required Order)

Before creating Product Rules, you must complete the following setup:

Step 1 — Create Lens Flows

Lens Flows allow you to create reusable option groups such as:

• Lens Type
• Coatings
• Materials
• Tints

How to Create

Go to:

Lens Flows → Add Lens Flow

→ Enter Name (Internal use — e.g., Materials / Coatings)

→ Add Description

→ Select Display Style (Recommended: Cards – Auto Advance)

→ Enable Required (If selection is mandatory)

→ Add Options using:

 • Add-on Products (With Price)

 • Lens Options (No Price)

 • Create New Product

→ Click Browse Products

→ Click Save Lens Flow ✅

Step 2 — Create Prescription Flows

Prescription Flows control how customers enter prescription details on the product page.

How to Create

Go to:

Prescription Flows → Add Prescription Flow

→ Select Prescription Type (Single Vision / Progressive / Bifocal / etc.)

→ Enter Flow Name (Internal identification)

→ Add Description (Customer-facing text)

→ Upload Flow Image (Optional)

→ Click Save Flow

→ Go to Configure Steps

→ Attach Lens Flows

→ Set RX Fields

→ Add Tooltip (Optional)

Step 3 — Create Product Rule

Go to Product Rules → Add Product Rule

Basic Information Tab

→ Enter Rule Name (e.g. Premium Collection, Budget Line)

Assign Flows Tab

→ Select required Prescription Flows customers can choose from

Assign Products Tab

→ Click Add / Edit Products

→ Select products where this rule should apply

→ Click Save Product Rule

Product Rules allow you to control which prescription options are available for specific products or collections.

Result

Prescription Flow:

After clicking the Select Lens button, the Prescription Flow that you have created in the backend will appear first. This allows customers to choose their prescription type and enter prescription details before selecting lens options.

Lens Flow:

After clicking on any Lens Flow option (for example: Single Vision), the customer will be taken to the Lens Flow selection screen. On this screen, customers can select lens options such as Materials, Coatings, Tints, and other lens-related configurations.

Prescription Entry (Before or After Lens Selection):

Customers can add prescription details either before selecting the lens flow or after selecting lens options.

After entering the prescription details and completing the lens selection, customers can proceed to Add to Cart.

• Review Selection and Add to Cart:

Before adding the product to the cart, customers can review all their selections in the Review Your Selection section. This includes prescription type, selected lens options, uploaded prescription file, and additional notes (if added).

After confirming the details and agreeing to the terms and conditions, customers can click Add to Cart to proceed with the purchase.

Result

After setup:

✔ Lens options become reusable

✔ Prescription flows control customer prescription journey

✔ Product rules control where flows appear

✔ Customers see correct prescription options automatically
