Welcome to the Prescription Eye Lens App! This documentation provides detailed information on installing, configuring, and using the app to enhance the customer experience on your platform.

Say goodbye to complicated measurements and optometrist visits—our app allows customers to easily add their prescription details and choose from high-quality lenses, eyeglasses, or sunglasses in just a few clicks.


With advanced lens customization features, our app enhances your store by offering multiple prescription options for contact lenses and custom lenses. The built-in Lens Advisor helps customers find the perfect prescription lenses effortlessly.

Installation


  1. Install the App: Visit the SB Prescription Eye Lens listing on the Shopify app store and click Install button.



  1. Plan Selection: Choose the plan that best fits your requirements.




Create Rules to setup products as prescription option. :


You can create a rule to display prescription options for specific products, product groups, or all products. Easily customize settings within each rule to match your needs. Assign specific prescription options per rule and manage them under unique rule names. This allows you to organize prescription settings efficiently for different product groups, ensuring accurate customization and a seamless experience for your customers.


Steps to Set Up Prescription Options for Specific Products:


  1. Enable Theme Block: Open the app from your Shopify admin panel.➜ Click on SB Prescription Eye Lens ➜ Click on the Enable Theme Block Button.


  1. Switch On: On the left side, Find our app in the list ➜Toggle the switch ON ➜ Click "Save" at the top right.


  1. Activate App: Click On Enable Button to activate the App.


  1. Create Rule: Click on the Create Rule section ➜ Click on Create Button.


  1. Create Rule Name: Enter the rule title in the placeholder text field.➜ Click on Add prescription Type



  1. Select Prescription Type: Select the prescription type from the list.➜ Modify other options.➜ Click on Add button To save Details.

  1. Add Next Step :After creating the prescription title, select “Add Next Step” to create sub-sections for Prescription Types.


  • Create sub-sections: After clicking “Add Next Step,” enter the sub-section name ➜ add a description (optional) ➜select “Go to Next & Add First Option” to continue.

  1. Prescription Form: Allow customers to add their prescription manually ➜ Toggle the switch ON ➜ Click the Manage button.




  • Select Option: Choose the options for the prescription ➜ Click Apply.


  1. Prescription Upload by Customer: To allow customers to upload a prescription file ➜ Toggle the switch ON.


  1. Pupillary Distance: To allow customers to provide their Pupillary Distance ➜ Toggle the switch ON ➜ Select the desired options.➜ Click on to Add button


  1. Selection of Products: Search for the desired product from the search bar ➜ Select the product ➜ Click the Save button in the top-right corner to save the rule ➜ Go to the front end.

Result :




  • Main Rule: Clicking the button will open the main rule setup page, where you can navigate to sub-sections and add further prescription details.


  • Options: All available options and values for glasses and Pupillary Distance (PD), as configured in the backend, will be displayed ➜ Select the required values ➜ Click the Continue button to proceed.



  • Add to Cart: Review all prescription values and product details carefully ➜ Once confirmed, click the “Add to Cart” button to proceed.


Manage Rules:


You can Easily create new rules, enable or disable them as needed, and edit rule names, prescription options, or assigned products to ensure accuracy. You can also delete rules anytime and add new ones for better customization and flexible management.




Separate Products for Left & Right Eye:

Enable this option to display left and right eye prescriptions as separate products in the cart. This allows customers to review details, select quantities, and manage pricing for each eye independently, ensuring better accuracy and flexibility when placing an order.



On Front Store:


Select Values ➜ Click on to Contunue




Result:Slelected values are appeared on the cart page.


Prescription options:


Add Right Eye/Left Eye prescription options.


Use the default option to set values separately for the right and left lenses.

Create new options with custom option names and corresponding values, such as:

  • Base Curve
  • Diameter
  • Power
  • Sphere
  • Cylinder
  • Axis


Create new options: Go to the Created rule ➜ Click on to Edit icon ➜ Click the Manage button to add a new option







  • Click the ADD NEW button ➜ Enter the Option Name and its Value ➜ Press Enter ➜ Click the Apply button


Conditional Options:


Manage prescription options based on previous selections. You can set values that depend on a previously selected prescription option. Choose the primary option and define the dependent options and their values accordingly for a seamless prescription selection process. You can also manage these settings separately for the left and right eye.



Steps:

Click on conditional option -> click on add option set

Select depend on option:

Select sub options.


Select the value and choose the dependent sub-value based on the selected option.

Click on apply button

General Settings

Form Customization : choose the form layout which you want display on the product page.

  • Drawer :Display prescription options directly on the Drawer.

  • PDP : If you select the PDP option, the complete product details will be displayed on the product page

2 . Translation

In the translation field, you can add translated text according to your store's language to display field names accordingly. This ensures that prescription-related fields appear in the appropriate language for your customers.


  • General
  • Prescription Title → Choose Your Prescription Type
  • Prescription sub title → Based on your prescription, choose your lens from the options below
  • Add Prescription Button Label → Add Prescription
  • Continue Button Label → Continue
  • Back Button Label → Back





  • Quantity Box
  • Right & Left Eye Labels
  • Right Eye Label → Right Eye (OD)
  • Left Eye Label → Left Eye (OS)




  • Choose Prescription Type (For Popup)
  • Title → How would you like to provide your prescription?
  • Subtitle → Please provide a valid prescription
  • Upload File Option
  • Title → Upload Your Prescription
  • Subtitle → Upload a PDF or an image file



  • Manual Entry Option
  • Title → Have your written prescription?
  • Subtitle → Our opticians will contact you if we require more information.
  • Enter Prescription Details
  • Title → Enter your prescription
  • Subtitle → You can find your prescription on the side of your box
  • Label (Same Rx for both eyes?) → Same Rx for both eyes?


  • Buyer Information Options
  • Title → For whom is this intended?
  • First Name Label → First Name
  • Last Name Label → Last Name



  • Buyer Agreement
  • Agreement Label* → Agree to terms & conditions
  • Agreement Description → Do you confirm and take full responsibility that your contact lens order matches your prescription?



  • Error Messages
  • Required Field Error Message → Required
