Save My Prescription : SB Prescription Eye Lens

The Save My Prescription feature in the Prescription Eye Lens App allows customers to securely store their prescription details and reuse them for future purchases without re-entering the information.


This feature simplifies repeat orders, reduces manual entry errors, improves customer experience, and helps increase retention and repeat sales


This guideline explains how to properly enable and configure the Save My Prescription feature in the EyeLens app. To activate it successfully, you must enable the Save My Prescription option and Application Block .



Note: This feature works only for logged-in customers.

How to Enable Save My Prescription

To activate this feature successfully, you must:

  1. Enable the Use Saved Prescription option inside the selected Prescription Flow
  2. Enable the Application Block



Steps:


Enable “Use Saved Prescription” Option:


  1.  Saved Prescription : Go to SB Prescription Eye Lens → Prescription Flows, click Edit on the required flow, enable Use Saved Prescription under Entry Methods, and click Update Flow to save the changes.



  1. After Enabling the Option : The Use Saved Prescription option will appear on the product page (front store). When a customer selects Save My Prescription, the Prescription Name fieldwill appear automatically




Add “My Prescriptions” to Customer Account


  1. Open Theme Customization: Go to Shopify Admin. → Navigate to Online Store → Themes → Click Edit theme on your active theme.



  1. Open Customer Account Template : At the top dropdown (currently showing Home page), click it. → **Select **Checkout and customer accounts. → **Open the **Profile template.



  1. Open the Profile template.



  1. Add the App Block: Click on the Apps (App blocks) icon in the left sidebar. → Under SB Prescription Eye Lens, find My Prescriptions → Click the + (Add) icon. → Select Accounts when prompted.




  1. Add to Menu (If Required): If you see the message “To give customers access to this page, add it to your navigation menu " Click to Add to menu.Save the changes.



  1. Add “My Prescriptions” to Customer Account Main Menu: After saving the changes, if you also want to display My Prescriptions in the main menu, simply add a new menu item with the label name My Prescriptions, select the appropriate link, and click Save.



  1. Test : Go to the front store → Log in to your customer account → Click on Profile → Check the menu bar to confirm that the My Prescriptions section has been added.





  1. Prescription Name & Save Prescription : When the Save My Prescription option is selected, the Prescription Name field appears automatically → Enter RX values in the form → Assign a name to the prescription → Click save to store it → The prescription will be saved under My Prescriptions in the customer Profile → Customers can reuse it for future purchases without re-entering details



Troubleshooting

If the feature is not visible:

  • Ensure the My Prescriptions app block is added to the Profile template
  • Confirm Use Saved Prescription is enabled in the selected Prescription Flow
  • Clear browser cache
  • Test using a logged-in customer account
