Set the Minimum Image DPI
The Minimum Image DPI feature allows you to set a minimum resolution requirement for customer-uploaded images. The app checks the uploaded image's DPI based on the configured print area and helps prevent customers from using images that may result in blurry or low-quality prints.
How Does the App Determine the Print Area?
The DPI check is performed according to the print area configured in your product personalization settings.
For example, if you have configured a 6 × 6 inch print area, the app will use this 6 × 6 inch area when checking the uploaded image's DPI.
If you are using Full Canvas and have configured the print area as 6 × 6 inches, the app will consider the entire canvas as a 6 × 6 inch print area and calculate the image DPI accordingly.
Example
Canvas: Full Canvas
Print Area: 6 × 6 inches
Minimum DPI: 150 DPI
In this case, the app will consider the whole canvas as a 6 × 6 inch print area and check whether the uploaded image meets the required 150 DPI for that print area.
- Predefined Print Area: The app checks the image DPI according to the predefined print area.
- Full Canvas + 6 × 6 Print Area: The entire canvas is considered a 6 × 6 inch print area.
- Minimum DPI: The uploaded image must meet the required DPI for the configured print area.
This helps ensure that the customer's uploaded artwork has sufficient resolution for the intended printing area.
