Web Push Notifications – Coming Soon - Notify Me

Web Push Notifications allow customers to receive browser notifications when a coming-soon product becomes available. When a customer submits the notify form, the browser asks for notification permission. If permission is allowed, the customer will receive a push notification once the product is launched


This guide will help you configure Web Push Notifications for coming-soon products, allowing customers to receive instant browser notifications when subscribed products become available.


Steps:


  1. **Enable Web Push Notifications:- Go to Shopify admin → Visit Coming Soon App. → Click Notifications → Open the General tab →Turn on Enable web push notifications. → Click Save.









  1. Configure Notification Content : After enabling web push notifications:

Launch notification title → enter the title customers will see when the product becomes available.


Example: {{product_title}} is now available!


You can use these placeholders:

  • {{product_title}}
  • {{store_name}}
  • {{vendor}}
  • {{product_type}}
  • {{variant_title}}


Launch notification message → enter the message shown below the title.

Example: The product you were waiting for just launched. Tap to shop now.

Then click Save.




  1. Final Push Notification Preview : Click** Notify Me** on the product page → Allow notification permission in your browser → Once subscribed, publish the product from the Coming Soon app by clicking Publish.







As soon as the product is published, subscribed customers will instantly receive a browser push notification with the title and message you configured in the notification settings.


Example notification:

Title: {{product_title}} is now available!

Message: The product you were waiting for just launched. Tap to shop now.






When the customer clicks the push notification, they’ll be redirected straight to the product page for the exact product or variant they subscribed to, so they can purchase it immediately.
