Include Preparation Time - Estimated Delivery Date ‑ ETA

The Include Preparation Time feature lets you add processing time to orders before shipping begins. This ensures that the estimated delivery date (ETA) reflects both preparation and delivery durations, providing a more accurate timeline to customers.


This guideline helps you understand, configure, and use the Include Preparation Time feature effectively to improve delivery accuracy and customer communication.


How It Works

When enabled, preparation time is automatically added to the ETA calculation before delivery time.


ETA Calculation:

Order Date β†’ Preparation Time β†’ Delivery Time(Estimated Delivery Date)



Configuration Steps:



  1. Toggle the switch On: Go to Application Settings β†’ Find Include Preparation Time β†’ Enable β†’ Enter Preparation Days



  1. Preview : Check Preview Update β†’ Click Save to Apply Changes



Store Front Result:

Before Enabling: ETA is calculated using only delivery time Preparation or production time is not included




After Enabling: Preparation time is added before delivery time ETA updates automatically based on configured days


Example

  • Order Date: March 19
  • Preparation Time: 2 days
  • Delivery Time: 2 days

Estimated Delivery Date: March 25





Note : Preparation time applies before delivery, changes affect new orders only, and preparation days should match actual processing time

  • Regularly review and update preparation time based on order volume
